Reach Compliance Statement
At Merigold Kids, safety and quality are core priorities. All of our jewelry is tested to meet EU REACH regulations (Annex XVII) and applicable U.S. safety standards. Depending on the design, our jewelry may be offered with or without 18k gold plating.
When we use terms such as nickel-safe, lead-safe, cadmium-safe, nickel-free, lead-free, or cadmium-free, we mean that our products have passed required safety testing and meet applicable regulatory limits for these metals. These terms do not indicate that materials are completely free of trace elements.
✔ Nickel-Safe: Compliant with REACH limits, with nickel release not exceeding 0.2 µg/cm² per week for earrings and 0.5 µg/cm² per week for other jewelry.
✔ Cadmium-Safe: Materials meet REACH requirements, remaining below the maximum allowable cadmium content of 0.01% (100 ppm).
✔ Lead-Safe: Materials comply with REACH restrictions limiting lead content to ≤ 0.05% (500 ppm).
We offer ASTM F-136 implant-grade titanium, a certified implant-grade material commonly used in medical applications and generally considered more allergy-friendly.
We work with certified suppliers who adhere to REACH and U.S. safety regulations and conduct regular testing to maintain compliance.
While our materials meet strict safety standards, individual reactions can still occur due to factors such as healing stage, skin sensitivity, or physical irritation rather than the metal itself. Individuals with known metal sensitivities or severe allergies should consult a medical professional or certified piercer before purchase.
At Merigold Kids, we stand behind our products. If you experience skin irritation, we offer a refund.
As a small business driven by craftsmanship and care, we prioritize thoughtful design, quality materials, and transparency. Every piece is created with intention, and our goal is to provide jewelry that is both beautiful and responsibly made.
Product Care
To clean your Merigold jewelry, use your favorite gentle cleanser and water. Fill two bowls with warm water and keep them away from the sink to prevent losing any pieces down the drain. Add a small amount of cleanser to one bowl and gently brush the jewelry with a soft toothbrush then rinse in the second bowl. Use a clean lint free cloth or paper towel to gently dry.
